Emails to your clients

यह पेज अभी हिंदी में उपलब्ध नहीं है, इसलिए अंग्रेज़ी में दिखाया गया है।

Besides texts, FocalPOS sends your clients emails about their appointments. You don’t need to set anything up to send them, but you should set the email address replies go to.

  • Booking confirmation, when a booking is made (a “pending confirmation” version when the booking needs your OK).
  • Appointment updated, when the appointment moves to a new time.
  • Appointment reminders and the thank-you after the visit, for each one you turned on in Appointment texts.
  • Invitations to new members of your team.

Emails come from “<your business name> via FocalPOS” at [email protected]. For example: “Halo Brow Studio via FocalPOS”.

To your business email: the Email in Settings > Profile. When a client presses Reply, their email goes there. If no business email is set (or it isn’t a working address), replies have nowhere to go.

Set your business email

Every client who has an email address on their client record. Emails don’t depend on text consent: a client who never said yes to texts, or who texted STOP, still gets appointment emails.

To stop emails to a client, remove the email address from their client record.

Short and plain, in your business name: “Hi Sarah,” with the appointment date and time (like “2:30 PM”), the services and staff, the location’s address, and a link to view, reschedule or cancel on your booking site.

  • Check the email address on their client record for typos.
  • Ask them to look in spam or promotions, and to add [email protected] to their contacts.
  • For reminders, check the reminder is turned on in Appointment texts.
  • If it still doesn’t arrive, email [email protected] with the client’s email and the appointment date. The dashboard has no email log, but support can check whether it bounced.

Can I change the “from” address to my own email?

Section titled “Can I change the “from” address to my own email?”

No. Emails always come from [email protected] with your business name. Replies go to your business email.

No. The wording is fixed so the details are always right.

Texts need the client’s yes to appointment texts. Emails don’t. See Text consent.
