How do I set up the rebook reminder?
Section titled “How do I set up the rebook reminder?”- Go to Marketing > Messages and open Rebook reminder.
- In What it does, tap the highlighted words:
- Weeks after the visit: 1 to 52 weeks (6 by default). Pick the time your clients usually come back, for example 3 weeks for lashes or 6 weeks for a cut.
- Service: any service, or one service so only visits with that service count.
- Send time: the time of day it goes out (10 AM by default), between 9 AM and 5 PM.
- With no offer: add an offer if you like.
- Check The text and the phone preview.
- Press Turn on and confirm.
Who gets the rebook reminder?
Section titled “Who gets the rebook reminder?”A client gets it on the day that is exactly the number of weeks you picked after a completed visit (with the service you picked, or any service), when all of these are true:
- They haven’t booked anything since that visit. Canceled appointments and no-shows don’t count as booking.
- They said yes to marketing texts and haven’t texted STOP.
- They haven’t had another marketing text in the last few days (3 by default, see Marketing settings).
- They haven’t had the rebook reminder within its limit (once every 30 days by default).
It’s a marketing text, so it follows the 9 AM to 5 PM sending hours in the location’s time.
Can a client get the rebook reminder twice?
Section titled “Can a client get the rebook reminder twice?”Each visit can trigger it once, never on repeat. A client who comes back gets a new reminder after their next visit, but not within the limit you set (30 days by default). The page says this under Each customer gets it.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Why didn’t my client get the rebook reminder?
Section titled “Why didn’t my client get the rebook reminder?”- The day was blocked, so it was skipped. The reminder is checked on one day only: exactly N weeks after the visit. If something blocks it that day (the client had another marketing text in the last 3 days, the limit, no marketing yes, or the reminder was off that day), it is skipped and never retried on a later day.
- They booked again. Any booking after the visit (except canceled ones and no-shows) means no reminder.
- The visit wasn’t completed. Only visits marked Complete count. A no-show doesn’t.
- The visit didn’t include the service you picked.
- They never said yes to marketing texts. Saying yes to appointment texts isn’t enough. See Text consent.
- You changed the weeks. Each day, the reminder looks for visits exactly the current number of weeks ago. A visit whose day passed while the reminder was set to a different number is not picked up later.
I turned it on today. Will clients from months ago get it?
Section titled “I turned it on today. Will clients from months ago get it?”Only clients whose visit was exactly N weeks before a day the reminder is on. Turning it on doesn’t send to everyone who is overdue. To reach those clients once, use a one-time send to Haven’t visited in 60+ days, or the Win back lapsed customers message.
Does the rebook reminder count toward the marketing limit?
Section titled “Does the rebook reminder count toward the marketing limit?”Yes. It’s a marketing text, so it counts toward the one-text-every-few-days limit, and other marketing texts can block it that day.
