Charge an amount with Custom Transaction

Charge an amount that isn’t tied to a visit, for example a bottle of polish.

Charge an amount with Custom Transaction

1. To charge an amount without a visit (a product, a gift, a balance), tap Custom Transaction.
2. Type the amount to charge on the keypad.
3. With no card reader, run the card on your standalone machine, then tap Record card payment. With a reader, tap Charge.
4. Payment successful. Tap Done.
5. You'll find it in the menu under Transactions, as Custom amount.

How do I charge an amount without a visit?

1. On the front desk screen, tap Custom Transaction (top right).
2. Type the Amount to charge on the keypad.
3. With a card reader, tap Charge and the customer pays on the reader. With no reader, run the card on your standalone card machine first, then tap Record card payment.
4. You’ll see Payment successful. Tap Print receipt if they want one, then Done.

Where do I find it afterwards?

In the menu under Transactions, as Custom amount. You can print the receipt or refund it there (see Refund a payment).

Troubleshooting

The payment hangs or says “A card payment is in progress”
