Turn on online booking

Online booking gives your salon its own booking page, like yoursalon.focl.app, that you can share on Instagram, Google and in texts. You also need it switched on to add bookings from your calendar.

Open Appointments settings

1. Go to Settings and open the Appointments tab.

2. Press Activate Online Appointments.

3. Choose your Booking Subdomain: short and easy to say, like your salon’s name. Press Activate.

   Use at least 3 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens (for example luna-nails).

   Your page is now live at the address shown under “Customers book at…”.

Changes on this tab save by themselves as you make them.

Setting	What it does
Customer can choose employee	Clients pick who they see. Off = FocalPOS picks whoever is free.
Require manual confirmation	You approve each booking first. Use Auto-confirm below amount to skip small ones.
Booking window	How far ahead clients can book: 7 to 90 days.

Reminders

Switch on the texts clients get automatically: Booking confirmation, 48-hour, 24-hour and 1-hour reminder, and a Follow-up message after the visit. Reminders cut no-shows, so we recommend at least the 24-hour one.

Clients choose whether to get texts

When clients book, the SMS Notifications box is unticked unless they tick it. US texting rules require this. Clients who don’t tick it won’t get text reminders. Next time you talk to them, ask them to tick it.
