Connect a receipt printer

यो पेज अझै नेपालीमा उपलब्ध छैन, त्यसैले अंग्रेजीमा देखाइएको छ।

Each tablet has its own receipt printer, connected by USB or Bluetooth. A cash drawer plugged into the printer opens through it.

  1. Turn the printer on. For USB, plug it into the tablet. For Bluetooth, make sure it is close by.
  2. On the tablet, open the menu (top left) and tap Printer (under Hardware). The page says Receipt printer for this device.
  3. Tap Scan for printers. Printers the tablet finds appear under Nearby printers (USB and Bluetooth).
  4. Tap Connect next to your printer. If Android asks for USB permission, allow it.
  5. The status says Connected: “Receipts print here.”

Open the menu and tap Transactions, find the payment and tap Print Receipt on its row. You can also tap Print receipt on the payment screen right after a payment, or on a row of the Appointments page.

If the printer was off or unplugged, the status says Disconnected (“Receipts won’t print”). Turn it on and tap Reconnect. While it says Reconnecting… the tablet tries every 10 seconds for up to 5 minutes, and connects on its own when the printer comes back.

Tap Forget this printer, then Scan for printers and Connect the new one.

No printer is set for this tablet. Connect one on the Printer page.

It says “Cannot reach printer. Please check the connection.”

Section titled “It says “Cannot reach printer. Please check the connection.””

Check that the printer is on, has paper and (for Bluetooth) is close to the tablet. Then tap Reconnect.

It says “Printer disconnected. Please reconnect your USB printer.”

The USB cable came loose. Plug it back in and tap Reconnect.

It says “USB permission denied. Please reconnect the printer.”

Section titled “It says “USB permission denied. Please reconnect the printer.””

Unplug the printer, plug it back in and allow access when Android asks.

The tablet shows Hardware needs attention when the printer (or card terminal) is disconnected. Tap it to see the problem and a Reconnect button.

The drawer opens through the printer. Connect the printer first. Without one the tablet says “Cash drawer is not available. Connect a compatible printer first.”
